It's been cold and icky forever. But it hasn't been all bad. Humom's irises bloomed last month. They are just outside of our bathroom window, that has been open every chance we get. These are tall bearded irises, we've had them for 2 years now and they were over 3 feet tall and both stalks had 5 blooms on them. No idea what variety, but we enjoyed them anyways.

Here is a picture of the newest puppies. WednesdayJust after dinner last night I heard all of this commotion and everyone runnin' all 'round like chickens with their heads cut off. Up and down the hall from the livin' room to the bedroom and back again and that's just the humans, the yappers were really makin' a fuss too.

So, about an hour later, after the din had died down. I went into the human's room and lookit what I found there.
Seems like Jez has gone and done it again. 3 new little squakers-2 girls and a boy.

You may now all go, "AAWWW....ain't they precious".

Well, I can say from experience, that they don't stay that way for long.
Before you know it they're all over the place. Tryin' to play with your tail and yappin' and takin' up all of my Humom's time. Time that could be spent answerin' to my every whim.
Let's hope that phase doesn't last too long either and that they all go to their forever homes real, real soon and take some of the others with them.Peteyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14698285783301977327noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19102893.post-79614385763662773112009-02-07T21:56:00.005-06:002009-02-07T22:09:55.825-06:00Grab a Button! — Great Backyard Bird Count

I wanted to remind all you birders out there that the great backyard bird count is coming up next weekend. Litterally (spelling is correct). We are about to be overrun by those little yappers again. Guess what, we're gonna have another

Guess The Litter Contest.

Everyone spread the word!!
Here are the rules:

One entry per household -cause we ain't got alot of monies

All entries need to be submitted by e-mailing me directly -link is on my profile

Anyone can enter -we don't discriminate-even if you don't have furs

All entries need to include:

your name and address-unless you don't want us to send you somethin' (I think the winner should get one of the yappers, but that's just my opinion)

your guess as to how many and which day they will arrive-bonus for closest to correct times

Contest ends when I do a Post Puppy Post -you know, like when they get here, whenever that will be

So everyone do your homework. Same story different day. Those stupid woofers keep humom really busy.

Good news though, my bruddy Punkin gots his own room and he doesn't get to put the bitey on us anymore. Humom says it's not all good and that he has been sick and we found out in March of 2008 that he has diabetes. So he gets sicker (he still has his megacolon issues) and we get the benefits. Did I mention no more biteys. One less cat at the bowls and boxes. Punkin gets his own bowl and box and room and he has special food and here's the bonus-he gets pokies twice a day for the rest of his life. Looks like that will be a long time too, since he is too mean to die.

The last of the 4 Christmas woofies gots sold in August. If you're keeping count we are down to 13, but it's not going to be that way for long 'cause that harlot Jet Black Jezebel is gonna pop out a whole new batch of baby woofers next month. Maybe we'll have another guess the litter contest. Here is my floofiness in all of its glory. I would've called this Wordless Wednesday, but I don't know the meaning of wordless. Although, I have been told that it is akin to speechless. Something I know nothing about.

I'm not one for meme's, I never get tagged and I'm glad for that. I'll post what I want to when I'm damn good and ready to. So here is some little known facts about me, Petronious the Arbiter:

1. Even though I look really snuggly and sweet. I'm not a lap cat.

2. I have an enormous purr. It can be heard across the room when it's quiet.

3. I sleep with my head propped up so that I can breathe. It's not because of my weight. I did it even when I was thinner. I have a very large, round chest cavity and laying on my side is very uncomfortable.

4. At night I sleep in the humans bed, with my head on the hu-woman's pillow.

5. The hu-man is allergic to me; I make his head stuffy at night. So I guess he knows how I feel.

6. I have allergies and sinus issues. I get several sinus infections a year. No known reason and they are treated holistically with Tea Tree Oil in the vaporizer and it smells really icky.

7. I hate to be picked up; it usually means I hafta go to the V.E.T. or I'm being forced to return to the prison I am incarcerated in.

Peteyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14698285783301977327noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19102893.post-49249352278969772652007-05-16T11:21:00.000-05:002007-05-16T15:26:48.005-05:00I've Been TraumatizedIt was so horrible that I can only now tell you about my near death experience.

Well , maybe, it wasn't that bad. I'll let you decide for yourselves.

It all started last Tuesday. The humans brought out the carriers and to some of you; that, in itself, is traumatic.
Well, I love it when the carriers are out; they are the perfect place to take a nap without any of my bruddies and sissyfurs sneaking up on me and pouncing me when I'm trying to take a much needed nap.

But, on this day, there was no nap to be had.

First, I couldn't get any privacy. HockeyPuck and HGL, both, tried to get in with me; they are so rude and pushy; and they drove me out of my nappie place.

Then the humans started rounding us older cats up. And we all know what that means; the dreaded yearly visit to the V.E.T. But bless her mean, little heart; my sissyfur, The Elusive Sooner, lived up to her name and hid until it got too late for us to be taken in that morning.

Did I mention, this all started about 9am? By 11:15 she hadn't been found and you hafta be at the V.E.T. by 11:45 or wait until they reopen at 2pm.

Okay, so I'm thinking we're getting a reprieve, when the humans take off with some of the woofies. But NOOO!! They returned and resumed their seek & destroy mission after lunch and proceeded to capture us all and transport us to Those Evil Villians (a coincidence the initals are v.e.t. backwards, I, think not).

As usual, I screamed the whole way there, "NO!" "NO!"

Every time I would scream "NO!". My bruddy, Punkin, would say back to me, "Yes". He likes to go places, that sicko.

So we all got stabbed; more than once; and us guys got weighed (I was 19.5 and Punkin was 12.5 and the girls somehow got out of this indignity ). My human loudly announced my weight to everyone there. Good thing I embrace my heft and girth, or I'd been upset about that. After being poked and prodded, we were shuttled back home; and that ride was nearly as bad as the previous endeavor.

Now, you are probably wondering how this day can get any worse, right? Well, believe you me, it can.

Later on; while I was sleeping off the effects of the poison that had been injected into my bloodstream; the Tornado Sirens started to wail. And, since it was well past noon, it was no test. That was done the day before and it woke me up from a wonderful, tunaful dream. The humans had us all safely contained; in the underground concrete bunker/holding cell, they call a storm shelter; within 15 minutes. That is a pretty, amazing feat; considering there are 6 of us, 15 of the woofies and only 4 of them.

So, instead of a much needed nap, I spent the next 2 hours voicing my displeasure about the situation. Luckily, there were no touchdowns or damage in our area.

That sure took alot out of me and I needed time to recover; so I hid for 2 days. Now that I was once again feeling up to snuff; I thought I'd get caught up with all that I missed on the blogosphere and tell you all about our ordeal. I had seen the woman grab the camera and go topside; whilst I cowered in a corner; so I thought there may be some pics of the recent activity.

I look and this is what I find:

Woofies and more woofies.

I wish someone would please buy them; all of them, except the big ones (they have jobs); and hurry too. She is a chihuahua and her name is Teddi Sue. She went on a road trip with her momma from Oregon to Washinton and when they were ready to go home; her momma stopped to have breakfast and checked on her every 15 minutes. When she was finished she went out to get in her car, and it and Teddi Sue were gone. Vanished; just like that. The car was found three days later, but Teddi Sue; who was in her crate all covered up; was nowhere to be found. Here is a link to Teddi Sue's Dogster page: http://www.dogster.com/dogs/463287. Here is a link to the petition to get her story on the news: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/949429552. I would like to see this make the national news. I was lost once, well twice myself and it is a very scary thing to be all alone and missing your family. And it is even scarier to be with strangers you don't even know. Could everycat help and spread the message? You can even link back to this post if you want to. Thank you .Peteyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14698285783301977327noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19102893.post-7944690401920622602007-04-26T10:56:00.000-05:002007-04-26T11:48:28.481-05:00Where We AreNo, we haven't disappeared. No one has died; although we did sell a few of the new babies. We have been very busy since November. HGL's "friend", Suzy Q, had puppies 6 weeks ago today. Her sister, Jezebel, had puppies 10 weeks ago tomorrow. Plus; we've still got some of the ones from Baby that were born in Nov. If anycat's wondering, there are 14 woofies living in MY house. Plus, we're dogsitting Clancy; one of the pups from Suzy/Jez's litter; while the human's mom is recovering from surgery. Here's some of the wee one's that have been born here lately. I know; aww, how adorable. Well, they ain't adorable when they're tryin' to wrestle with you.

That giant black thing ain't Lucky; it's Puck and he's tryin' to take my spot at the waterin' hole.

I have been extremely busy getting as fat as I can. I know I must be close to my heaviest ever. The human said that she can't even feel my ribs anymore. Well, rest assured, they are there. Nice and safe; all protected under a glorious layer of blubber. Lucky has even put on a few pounds to his massive frame. The human's weighed him last month and he is a whoppin' 19.5 lbs. They don't even try to weigh me. I'm too big to pick up.

HockeyPuck went to the stabby place and spent the night; and the next day he came home all groggy and stinkin' of pee and medicines. They removed his mancathood from 2 places. Somethin' 'bout a fishin' 'xpedition (one of Puck's hoohaa's was in his abdomen and the vet had to open him up to find it very deep within his belly).

Punkin has been mean grumpy to us all, more than usual. The humans won't let him go outside anymore, 'cause they caught him crossin' the street and just standing in the middle of the road ( I think he has become senile or suicidal in his old age-chron. he's 11, but he probably feels closer to 20 with the Megacolon he has). So he has taken it out on us and the paper towels. I say give them paper towels hell. I'd put the bite on them if I could get up there. He don't mess with me though; when he tries to bite me all he gets is a mouthful of fur.

The girls are their usual selves; hiding and virtually nonexistant. I guess it's hard to be a girl cat in a sea of MANCATS and DOGS ...

We'll be takin' some more time off so that the humans can take care of business, but I'll try to sneak on whenever I can and if they'll ever leave the computer on when they're not around. It was more of those same, lame excuses. We have to work on the house and the grandma human's house and push to sell those puppies. Now they're even having to take care of the grandma human too. Sheesh, I'll never get these people. Why can't they be more like us?Peteyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14698285783301977327noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19102893.post-1166915662049881222006-12-23T17:14:00.000-06:002006-12-23T17:14:22.116-06:00Lickin' With The Enemy

Finally! I'm pissed. Royally, pissed off. I love the mom more than anyone else, besides myself, but that woman has gone and lost it. First, there's been this moving of furniture and then a new little furball; who has taken over my command post in the bathroom. The bathroom is my room and now I never get to go in there and when I do, it stinks, "litter"ally. They had the nerve to put a stink box in my room; so when I do get to go in and get a drink; I just about gag from the stink of the little monster. Oh, and to top it all off, the woofie broodmare has gone and had another batch of shriekers and now I hardly ever get any attention from my servant 'cause she has to help take care of the new woofies. This sucks, royally-Princess SoonerPeteyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14698285783301977327noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19102893.post-1163004165042099742006-11-08T10:04:00.000-06:002006-11-08T10:42:45.176-06:00Tummy Tuesday Vol. 3

Sorry we're a little late, but this is a special edition of Tummy Tuesday. Here's the before photo of Baby's tummy.

And.....

Here is the after picture. All them squealin' little wrigglers were in there. 7 of them this time, born on 11/07/06 between 12 o'clock and 2 a.m. This is her third litter and the little cowprint fella under her back leg was the last to be born and brings the total of puppies borned to Chico and Baby to 16; and Baby is only 2 years old(born on 07/26/04). Who knew that chihuahua's had so many babies? I think they must be part rabbit; with all them babies poppin' out like that(15 this year alone). They also bounce and binky like bunnies do too. They have ears like a froot bat and are always bathin' themselves and each other; so they must be part cat also. Yet, the still make way too much noise, they have to be dogs. And if anycat is keepin' track; that brings the total of woofies in my house to 15 at the moment and only us 6 cats and 3 fishes. We still outnumber the humans servants 6:1Peteyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14698285783301977327noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19102893.post-1162858748068273732006-11-06T18:10:00.000-06:002006-11-06T18:19:08.090-06:00Midnite Monday

Our own little house panther HockeyPuck is back for another round of Midnite Monday. We could have used
this for Tummy Tuesday but we got something special for that. He's been growin' in leaps and bounds. He keeps me very busy with his kitten ways and he plays much more than HGL did when he was little. Never a dull moment with Puck the Prankster around. And notice his white patch on his chest. Okay, we gotta help the mom take care of the dogs now. Check back for TT it'll be a good one.Peteyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14698285783301977327noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19102893.post-1161051103450016752006-10-16T20:56:00.000-05:002006-10-16T21:11:43.473-05:00Midnight Monday HockeyPuckOur newest member of the gang, Puck, is settlin' in nicely. He's alot of fun to play with, but Lucky and I still hafta show him how to bath correctly. He has the nappin' down pat, he even sprawls out on the furniture and the box just like the rest of us. Here, he's makin' himself at home on the end of the recliner. If I step too far out there it falls down.

Peteyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14698285783301977327noreply@blogger.com14
